Departments
IT
Beginning of the IT department was a purchase of the UNIVAC - 100 in 1962. Department's work was based on perforated cards system.
UNIVAC - 1106 was purchased in 1972. which was the end of perforated cards system. New and at that time modern magnetic disk machine and FMS-8 data base became the standard work method with program solutions for all business segments (production units, purchasing, sales and finance departments, accounting...) as a next step.
Due to the worn-out state of the existing system, UNIVAC - 110/72 was purchased in 1986.
Our newest system DORADO - 320 was purchased in 2006. New computers and new relational base (RDMS) were obtained and all programs have been reprogramed. All users were connected to the network with optical cables, 24-hours internet was installed, as well as the proper mail server.
Our next challenge is an integration into the CMC corporation network and a transfer to SAP program solution.
SAFETY SERVICES AND GENERAL ACTIVITIES
1. Safety Department is established according to Safety at Work Law in accordance with number of emloyees and hazard level esablished by evaluation and performs:
• training of workers for safe work performance
• testing of machines and devices with increased danger for proper needs
• performing other activities prescribed by Safety at Work Law for CMC Sisak d.o.o.
2. Fire and Security service Department
Fire Department is sorted in If fire endagered category and performs:
• fire protection activities through preventive and operative activities
• protection of people and assets of CMC Sisak d.o.o.
• fire device maintainance
• maintains other activities prescribed by Fire Protection Law
Security service Department performs:
• person and asset protection, supervision of persons, vehicles and goods on entrances into the protected area or buildings
• protected area patrol (buildings, production and business area, parking lots, especially ones with parked goods vehicles and goods)
• insurance of public gathering or fire places, sabotages, accidents at work, ecological accidents untill the arrival of state department representative
• all other activities prescribed by Law
3. General activities department of CMC Sisak d.o.o. performs:
• environment maintaining and arrangement
• maintaining and cleaning working rooms in company
• delivery of internal and external post
ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
Environmental policy is an integral part of business policy and strategy and development of CMC Sisak d.o.o.
Production and transport of the products in the agreed quality and delivery dates, together with the economical use of all the resources and constant improvement of the product quality and continuous care for the environment are the basic conditions for profitable production and competitive capability of the company.
CMC Sisak d.o.o. promotes recycling and pollution prevention at all levels of steel and pipe production, develop and implement the best solutions to environmental situations that are in conformance with the regulatory structure and consistent with the Company's business objectives.
In order to fulfill its obligations ruled by the law and other acts of the Republic of Croatia, CMC Sisak d.o.o. is thoroughly applying activities in the field of environment follow-up, its protection and improvement.
collecting data regarding the environment status at CMC Sisak d.o.o.;
program making and application of all necessary environment measurements for its protection and decreasing the effect of technological processes to the environment.;
trying to adjust CMC Sisak d.o.o. acts with the Law and all other necessary regulations.
